Ethicon MERSILK NW5000 and NW5003 are premium non-absorbable, sterile, black braided silk surgical sutures designed for soft tissue approximation and ligation. Manufactured by Ethicon (Johnson & Johnson), these sutures provide excellent handling characteristics, superior knot security, and reliable tensile strength, making them a preferred choice across general surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontal procedures, plastic surgery, and other surgical specialties.

Both sutures feature a 90 cm black braided silk thread attached to a 3/8 Circle, 16 mm Cutting ETHIPRIME® needle, providing smooth tissue penetration and precise wound closure. The only difference between the two products is the suture size:

• NW5003: USP 3-0
